Sunday Christian Science Services

The Bible and the Christian Science textbook are our only preachers. The weekly Christian Science Quarterly Bible Lesson is read as our sermon at all Christian Science churches worldwide. The Lesson is comprised of citations relevant to each weekly subject from our Pastor: the Bible and our textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. To learn more, see www.ebiblelesson.com. Also, Bible passages selected by local “readers” are read at the beginning and end of each Sunday service. The congregation sings three hymns during the service.

Wednesday Testimony Meetings

This midweek Testimony Meeting is an excellent opportunity to express gratitude to God for healing. These meetings are opened with a hymn. Then carefully selected passages are read from The Bible and the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, on a topic the Reader (elected by the church members) has selected. After praying together and singing another hymn, the meeting is opened up for attendees to share testimonies of healing or remarks on Christian Science. The hour-long meeting concludes with a final hymn.

Sunday School

In Sunday School, students up the age to 20 learn about the Bible from an early age. As children move up through the class levels, they focus on studying the weekly Bible Lesson and grow in their understanding how Christian Science heals through the knowledge of an all-loving God. Questions are encouraged and answered by devoted and experienced teachers. Students discover how spirituality is relevant in day-to-day life.

Classes dive into the lives of key spiritual seekers in the Bible, from kings and prophets to accounts of Christ Jesus healing the sick and sinning. Students are free to ask questions and are encouraged to study the Bible, so it comes alive for them. It’s an environment where each student feels supported and gives them a chance to look together for meaningful answers to the stuff that comes up in young lives.
